Here are the details: All parents are asked to drive their own car. We are meeting at the curiosity museum at Thanksgiving Point at 12:30. We will be there from 12:30-2:30. We ride the bus back at 2:30 and should be back at school by 3:00. Monday, April 29th, no school Tuesday Acadience Reading Wednesday Art and Science. This week we are finishing our science unit with Mrs. Harkness. Next week May 8th we have a field trip for the Curiosity Museum. We will need 4 Chaperones. Email me if you would like to volunteer as a chaperone. There is a lot of information this week. We have our last week of power hour. The Read-for-Funds Fundraiser has its community activity and finally of the fundraiser on Thursday, April 25th. Our music program will perform on May 15th, so mark your calendars. Our class is celebrating a class party, on Friday April 26th, with pajamas and comfortable things like stuffed animals, pillows, and blankets. Starting last week we have chicken eggs incubating in the classroom. Read on for more details on this week’s events. Notes: Happy Birthday Micah, April 29th! This is our last week of Power Hour. Wow, how the time flies! I am so impressed with how much the students have grown throughout this school year. Wednesday, we have science week 7. When the 2nd grade teachers rotate this week we have Mrs.Harkness teaching our class science. Music: Friday, we have music. The music program will be performed on Wednesday, May 15th at 9:00. PTA Fundraiser: On the night of the event, April 25th, we will also have our annual silent auction, concessions, student art on display, a make your own hat bar, a magician and even more FUN! But more than just being a community night of fun, this important fundraiser is what makes possible every single PTA thing at Crestview – Classroom grants, field trips, The School Play, Reflections, the Holiday Shop, etc. Please don’t miss this vital fundraiser that makes so much possible at Crestview! Jones’ Class Party: Our class is having a pajama party this Friday April 26th! Whoo hoo! Students may wear pajamas. If they bring slippers they need a change of shoes for recess. The class has chosen to have stuffed animals, a blanket, and a pillow to bring to the party, these are all optional. The rule for stuffed animals is they must fit in the student’s backpack; students have a limit of 3 stuffed animals but they must all fit together in the backpack. Stuffed animals will stay in the classroom and will not go outside for recess. There will be a limit to one pillow and one blanket per student. The students are so excited! Students can also bring a book to read from home for when we have our party after lunch. Science: Landforms, fast and slow changes to land We are incubating chicken eggs in our classroom!
